The “Dargut and Milena Kemali” specialisation scholarship in the field of Basic and Clinical Neurosciences to work for one year in an European Department of Neuroscience, and the “Dargut and Milena Kemali” International Prize for Research in the Field of Basic and Clinical Neurosciences will be assigned after public advertisement and after scientific evaluation based on the procedures outlined in the announcement by the Board of Trustees.
The candidate should send his/her curriculum vitae together with document to the President’s Office of the Foundation.
1. The Dargut and Milena Kemali specialisation scholarship in the field of Basic and Clinical Neurosciences at KI in Stockholm, Sweden.
This scholarship will be assigned every two years to a young Italian researcher (not older than 35 years) who through her/his curriculum and scientific program can document excellent merits and a strong necessity to improve knowledge in a specific area of neurosciences.
The curriculum and a research plan of the candidate will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee of the Foundation that will select the recipient of the scholarship. The specialization scholarship carries an annual stipend of 12,000 Euro (twelve thousands/00 Euro).
At the end of the year the scholarship holder must present to the Scientific Committee of the Foundation a written report of the research performed together with a confidential evaluation by the hosting supervisor concerning the candidate’s performance and future prospects and guidance.
2. The Dargut and Milena Kemali International Prize for Research in the Field of Basic and Clinical Neurosciences
The Prize will be assigned every two years to an outstanding Italian or foreign researcher, who has made important contributions in the field of Basic and Clinical Neurosciences. The winner cannot be older than 45 years of age.
Preference will be given to scientists who have not been awarded other important international prizes.
The Prize amounts to 25,000 Euro (twenty five thousand/00 Euro).
