Notice of Competitions
The deadline for submission of nominations and applications (nominations preferred) for the Eighth International Prize of the Dargut and Milena Kemali Foundation for Basic and Clinical Neurosciences is extended to May 2, 2011.
The Eighth International Prize of the Dargut and Milena Kemali Foundation for Basic and Clinical Neurosciences 2011 (call for nominations or applications 2011).
The Eighth International Prize of 25,000 Euro will be awarded in 2011 by the Dargut and Milena Kemali Foundation to a scientist under 45 years of age on December 31, 2010, who has made outstanding contributions to Basic or Clinical Neurosciences.
Nominations and applications should be submitted to: The Dargut and Milena Kemali Foundation – Riviera di Chiaia 168 – 80122 Napoli, Italy (www.kemalifoundation.it, fax +39-081-7611800, e-mail ibro.dmkf@gmail.com). They should be received by April 8, 2011 (before 5 pm), and accompanied by:
- a Curriculum vitae of the candidate with a complete list of publications (no Abstracts);
- one copy of 3 selected papers published by the candidate after 2009;
- a reference letter by an internationally recognised expert describing the candidate’s scientific achievements and standing;
- a summary (max 2 pages) outlining the main scientific contributions of the candidate;
- the electronic version (on CD if applying by mail or courrier) of the above documents (curriculum vitae, and summary of the contributions in Word format; articles and letter of presentation in PDF format).
Nominations and applications will be evaluated by the Prize Committee of the Dargut and Milena Kemali Foundation. The recipient of the Prize will be notified by July 2011.
The Prize will be awarded at the Congress of the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies, FENS FORUM 2012, to be held in Barcelona, Spain (July 14 - 18, 2012), where the Prize recipient will give the Kemali lecture (sponsored by the Dargut and Milena Kemali Foundation).
